Responsible Gambling

Throughout the world, gambling is enjoyed as a recreational activity. The majority of people participate at levels appropriate to their financial circumstances but for a small number of people, gambling can become a problem.

Lasseters maintains a strong commitment to responsible gambling. In 2003, the Company partnered with 16 other industry, government and community bodies to form a Working Party responsible for developing a Code of Practice for the Northern Territory gambling providers. The Code contains practices to be implemented to achieve industry ‘best practice’ in the delivery of gambling services.

As a responsible gambling operator, the well-being of our customers is paramount. To assist customers in making an informed decision about their wagering activities, responsible gambling measures have been developed and implemented at the Lasseters Online web site. One such measure is a facility that gives customers the option of excluding themselves from playing temporarily or permanently at the site. In addition, Lasseters proactively restricts access to the site by minors and provides a referral services to advice and support groups.

Counselling Services

Lasseters is aware that occasionally some people develop problems with gambling. We have consulted with Amity Community Services who understand and deal with people in these situations on a regular basis. We have sponsored a web site for Amity Community Services to assist people who recognise that they may have a problem.

We encourage you to view the site and complete the self-assessment form, which will help you to identify if a problem exists.
