Lasseters Recognised for Outstanding Community Contribution at 2025 AHA NT Awards
Lasseters has been recognised for its ongoing commitment to the Central Australian community, taking out the Outstanding Accommodation Hotel Community Service & Achievement award at the 2025 AHA NT Awards for Excellence held last night.
The prestigious award recognises accommodation hotels that demonstrate exceptional community support through charitable contributions, sponsorship, partnerships and active involvement within their local region.
The recognition highlights Lasseters’ longstanding commitment to supporting community organisations, tourism events, sporting groups, charities and local initiatives that contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of Alice Springs.
Over the past year, Lasseters has provided significant cash and in-kind support to local organisations, events and causes through sponsorship, accommodation assistance, fundraising initiatives, venue support and community partnerships.
This includes support for major tourism-driving events such as the Finke Desert Race, Red CentreNATS and the Henley on Todd Regatta, along with assistance to schools, sporting clubs, charities and not-for-profit organisations across the region.
Lasseters also continues to support initiatives including community fundraisers, seniors events, local business networking opportunities and charitable donation programs that directly benefit the Alice Springs community.
Management said the award reflects the passion of the Lasseters team and the venue’s belief that strong businesses should actively contribute to the communities in which they operate.
“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition,” a spokesperson said.
“Supporting our community has always been a core part of who we are. Alice Springs is our home, and we believe it is important to give back to the people, organisations and events that make this region so special.”
The team acknowledged that the award belongs not only to staff, but also to the many community groups, event organisers, suppliers and local partners who continue to work collaboratively with Lasseters to create positive outcomes for the region.
As one of Central Australia’s leading tourism and hospitality operators, Lasseters said it remains committed to investing in initiatives that strengthen tourism, support local employment and foster community connection.
“This recognition reinforces the important role hospitality venues play in supporting regional communities beyond simply providing accommodation and entertainment,” the spokesperson said.
“We are honoured to continue supporting the people and events that help Alice Springs thrive.”
