Alice Springs Convention Centre Wins Northern Territory Excellence in Business Events Award
The Alice Springs Convention Centre has been recognised on the Territory stage, taking out the Excellence in Business Events and/or Trade Commerce category at the 2025 NT Chief Minister’s Export & Business Awards held in Darwin on 11 October 2025.
Following its earlier success at the Alice Springs Regional Business Awards in August, the Convention Centre progressed to the Northern Territory finals where it was named overall Territory winner in the category.
The prestigious award recognises excellence in the delivery of business events, trade and commerce, as well as the significant contribution organisations make to economic development and industry growth across the Northern Territory.
The achievement highlights the ongoing success of the Alice Springs Convention Centre in attracting conferences, corporate events, exhibitions and incentive groups to Central Australia, delivering substantial economic and tourism benefits to the region.
Convention Centre Manager Mary Hair praised the commitment of the venue’s team and industry partners.
“To receive recognition at a Northern Territory level is an incredible honour for our entire team,” she said.
“This award reflects the professionalism, dedication and passion of our staff who consistently deliver exceptional events while showcasing Alice Springs as a remarkable destination for business tourism.”
The Alice Springs Convention Centre is one of the Territory’s premier event venues, offering state-of-the-art facilities within the Lasseters complex and providing delegates with a unique outback conference experience unlike anywhere else in Australia.
Beyond the venue itself, the Convention Centre plays an important role in supporting the broader regional economy through increased visitation, accommodation bookings, dining, transport, touring and local supplier engagement.
Business events hosted at the venue continue to inject millions of dollars into the Central Australian economy while strengthening industry collaboration, education opportunities and regional investment.
The team said the award also reflects the resilience and capability of regional business operators and demonstrates the importance of continued investment in the business events sector.
