Lasseters Corporation Limited (“LCL”) - cessation of trading online casino and wager sites
On 9 September 2008, the shares in LCL were suspended from quotation at the request of the company pending discussions with its parent company regarding continued financial support.
A review of the on-line gaming operations was made and the board of LCL is of the view that the ability of the on-line casino and wager sites to turn around was very remote, despite continuous support from the parent company over the previous two years. The on-line gaming sites have suffered continuous losses and face numerous constraints, resulting in the company's on-line gaming sites not being able to remain competitive.
The company accordingly advises that it has ceased taking bets on the company's on-line gaming sites.
