Iris Capital, the visionary force behind Lasseters, is embarking on a groundbreaking development initiative set to redefine Central Australia’s landscape. With an impressive investment exceeding $200 million, owner Sam Arnaout is steering the project, confident in its potential to elevate Alice Springs into a premier tourism destination.
The initial phase encompasses a diverse array of offerings, from a state-of-the-art childcare facility and a chic rooftop bar to a revamped casino, accommodations, and an entertainment enclave featuring a night club, bowling alley, and cinema. Subsequent stages will introduce additional accommodations, a rejuvenated health club, a luxurious day spa, and revamped convention facilities, all surrounded by multiple resort pools, crafting an unprecedented oasis in the heart of Australia.
As the development will constitute a Material Alteration to a licensed premises pursuant to section 95 of the Liquor Act (The Act) Lasseters must satisfy public interest and community impact criteria as set out in sections 49-52 of the Act in its application to the Liquor Commission seeking approval for the material alterations. As a component of community consultation, to assist in assessing public interest and community impact you are invited to make comment on the proposed redevelopment.
